A Kagura is a literally a performance consisting of classical, ceremonial music and dance. The performance is used to pacify, console, and entertain the master or deity of the shrine or house. (At shrines, kagura is performed by miko, or priestesses, in English. She does, in fact, exist for the sole purpose of pleasing Naraku and to do his bidding so the name suits her perfectly.
